Man was regarded the medical profession as a sacred duty for long times and in the meantime, the patient expects a person who is at his bedside to be capable and knowledgeable in medical science and be able to recognize his illness taking action on his treatment. Islamic medicine is a combination of the ancient Greek medical traditions, particularly traditions of Hippocrates and Galen, with theories and practical aspects of medicine in ancient Iran and ancient India. It can be seen a conjunction of Hippocratic perceptions and inspections with a philosophical-theoretical method of Galen and the addition of former knowledge of Iranian and Indian doctors by checking the activities of doctors in early Islam. Understanding the different sciences, especially medicine has been emphasized much in Islam. Here, it has been reviewed the medical history in early Islam and introduced famous people at that time, some of their therapeutic interventions has been mentioned and some cases have been quoted from the Prophet of Islam and Imams (AS) in this regard and it has been pointed to the ability of some of these doctors and nurses at that time. Although it has not been possible to access all resources but it was tried to introduce some of the male and female doctors and nurses of that time properly.
